If you could create the course of your dreams, what would it be? Give it a name, course description, and describe some of the activities that would take place throughout the year.

I wish there was a robotics class in Stover school I would love to build robots for an hour a day. Basically it would be a class about building and learning the mechanics of building robots. Also it has to be an elective class not an Art class of any kind. Most of the things you would be doing would be to first learn about robots. Then you would probably learn Robot safety. Then eventually you would begin building basic robots and gradually build more complicated ones. To sum it up i wish Stover school had a robotics class.

I would have a fencing class, you know that kind of sword fighting without an actual sword. Because I've always wanted to learn how to sword fight. I don't know why, but I have a feeling that a lot of kids would love that. Its so fun and energetic and I would just real like it. Students would learn all the basics of it, they would eventually be like professional at it by the end of the year, so it should be great.
If I could create a new class this year it would be a bike class. it would be all about bikes and the safety of riding them. What we will learn is how they work and we will be going outside almost every day to ride bikes. We would be going to the park every day. The students would be able to get frech air and a little exercise every day.

ReplyDeleteThe course of my dream class is a class that deal with learning different cultures, not a world history class. A class where we will just talk about how things work in other culture and how to communicate with the people. The class would probably named culture lifes. Some of the activities would be having people of other cultures come in and tell you about their life and show something from their culture. Maybe go parades and festivals of different cultures. We will be able to interact with the people of other place like the dances of Africa or the samba from Cuba. we would taste other food from all over the world. We would have so much fun learning about other people. Getting to communicate with some many people. This would be such an amazing class.

If I could make a class in Stover I would create a yoga class. I would create this because it would give students an hour to clear their minds and just relax. I think this would be a good class to have because it would help people focus more through out the day because you would have a cleared mind to start your next class with. In this class you would learn different ways to relax your body to help with stress or anything. Also this class would help with any injuries you have because you would be stretching your muscles, so it could help with anybody in sports to make their muscles not so tight.

If I could make up one class class it would probably be a craft class. I would love a crafting class because you would get to make crafts and just hangout. Also you could just make cool things and go on Pinterest all day and find something that yo would want to make. I think that having this class would allow us to just relax and have fun. If I could have one class I think this would be that class.
I wish our school had a DIY class. Every student would pick a project off of the internet that they wanted to do and everyone would have a dead line to finish their project that they are working on. The students could pick an individual project or everyone would be doing the same project. The school could even buy the supplies for the projects. If students had supplies at home they could bring them in to use. I would love to have a class like that.

2nd hour
The course of my dreams would have to be an aerobic class. Where we swam for a whole class period. I think this class would be good for just relaxing and unwinding from classes that we feel is harder than others. This class should be in the middle of the day where we can have a break from sitting in a classroom since some people don’t enjoy PE they can enjoy the coolness of the water and just relax. I also think we should probably learn the proper way to swim. We also should learn CPR in this class and learn how to save someone when they are in danger of drowning. It would be cool to learn how to swim and then it would be easier for people to get a job as a lifeguard for a summer job. This is a good class to just get out your energy.
Courses in anything, I'd take any classes about blueprinting, architecture and drawing aids, along with that I guess I'd take psychology based classes.

If I could create a course of my own it would be a 4H/animal science. You would deal with just taking care of animals all day everyday. No homework, no assignments, no test. Nothing except playing with animals 24/7 and taking care of the animals.

If I could make a course it would be Extreme Languages. We as a class would decide on what kind of languages we wanted to learn or know about. I think that it is very important for kids to know more than one language. Yes, English is used in America mostly but what if they went to China? or Germany? there is no universal language. We would first pick three languages, we would do the basic alphabets and learn how to say the words and how the language works. We would probably do common games to get use to saying them. Once we had gotten the basics done I would assign that they would have to talk to each other for the whole hour in that language. After we kind of gotten the hang of it we would do a video chat from someone across the world who spoke that language and they would have to have a full conversation. I really think it's good for kids to know how to communicate in more than google translate.

The course of my dreams would be a Lifetime Sports class where we learn about all of the sports in the world. If the NBA Finals were on then we would learn about basketball and play basketball. If FIFA World Cup was on them would learn and play soccer. Around the Super Bowl time we could go outside and play football and learn the game of football. This would be my dream course in school.

If I could create a class this year it would be a class that would teach you more about how to use computers and different computer programs because I often have trouble using computers because I don't know much about them or understand how to use them very well. The class would revolve around how to use computers and how to fix some of the problems that they have. If i could create a class the class would be called machine studies to design a electrical machine of your own, you have o bring in all the parts you will need and all the tools you will need to design this machine. At the end of each quarter you will be needed to present a new additional function you have added to the machine and the purpose of that function. i thin that would be a very very cool class.

Could you imagine a dream course on nothing but art. No homework, just drawing, sketching, learning new techniques, learning how to get a piece of artwork done in just an hour, and still have it look as if many hours of hard work were put into it. I would call the class art, just because there probably isn't a better name for it, and we would learn all of the techniques I mentioned above, and go to lots of art contests to win awards for our masterpieces. Although this class already exists, and it's called Advanced Art, It is my dream course, except I would make the class two hours long instead of just one, then It really would be my dream course!

If I could create a class it would teach people more about the military.It would teach stuff about the wars,the new and old equipment that they use, battle strategies, and much more. Some activity's in this class could be looking at old war photos, talking to people from the military, maybe even figuring out how the equipment works.This would be my "dream" class because not many people know what these people did and how hard they worked. Another activity could possibly be some of their fitness workouts.I think this class would be extremely useful/helpful in some cases.

The course of my dreams would be a British Literature class. The class would involve reading the best books, short stories, and poems that come from English authors. The major focuses of the year would be Harry Potter, The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings, Sherlock Holmes, and The Chronicles of Narnia. After and during reading, there would be discussion about the story and its author, and we would do projects pertaining to the story. Additionally, if the book actually has a good movie to accompany it we would watch it and compare. This would most definitely be my dream class.

I know a lot of girls who want to become a nurse, doctor, etc, so I think this class would really benefit those people. You would learn about the human body, and all the diseases and health problems that occur. This would give you a head start on your career. Research would be a big thing in this class. You would research many health occupations, sicknesses, and what you need to do to prepare yourself for medical school. Knowing what diseases and problems that can occur with the human body can be very beneficial. An activity that would take place, would be, having the teacher or a class mates write up a report on a fake patient. The write up would include their symptoms and a report on the days leading up to them coming to the "ER." Then, another classmate would have to research and figure out their illness with facts. After they diagnose the fake patient, they would find out how to cure it. This would prepare future medical students. I would love this class.

If I could create the course of my dreams it would be a vet tech course. The course would be called Veterinary Practice. In the class you would get to work with sick or injured animals. You would have to learn about Animal Science to help you diagnose and treat the animal properly. There wouldn't be any homework so you could enjoy your time with the animals and not dislike the class.

My dream class would be a computers class where you learn about how the hardware works and how each part functions to work as a whole. I like looking into my own computer and seeing how each part is connected and I think it would be cool to show everyone how computer hardware works. Also if more people knew the basics on hardware then they could solve their own computer problems and avoid hours of unnecessary frustration.
If i could create a dream class, it would be a sleeping class. It would be called Nap Class. In this class we would sleep, obviously, but we would study different sleeping patterns. I think it would also be fun to find out which movies or music help you fall asleep the fastest as well as sleep the best. It'd be interesting to see how everybody's brain and body reacts to the different varieties. So nap class should be a thing!

If i could create the course f my dreams i would create a trapshooting course. Trapshooting id my favorite thing to do, but i have noticed not a kit of teenagers do it. When my dad was a kid everybody did, but now i'm the only from this school who does. The course would be pretty simple, It would teach you how to shoot trap and the history of the sport. I think kids would really enjoy it and it would be a good way of teaching gun safety at the same time.

I would love to have an in-depth Psychology class here at Stover. Not only would we learn about the brain and how we behave the way we do, but we would perform experiments. The class would think up surveys and collect information and draw up statistics based on the research that had been collected. The students would be graded mainly on participation because everybody's experiment would be different, so you can't write up a universal rubric, and you can't determine whether everybody's experiment would be successful or not. When it comes to the boring stuff like doing worksheets and taking notes, it would all be on the computer. That way, the students wouldn't have to carry around as much stuff and worry about losing papers. All in all, it would be nice to have a Psychology course.
I think a course on sports history would be great. I think when you're interested in something you apply yourself a lot more. I think this would be a course that many kids would take. Sports has a huge impact on this country in so many ways, look at Jackie Roberson for instance, he was a large part of the civil rights movement.

Since my family is mostly German and my great grandma used to speak fluent German I think it would be super awesome to be able to speak to her in our family language. In the course we would learn about Germany's background and also about the background behind the words. Our homework would consist of work sheets to test on our knowledge on the use of words. If I got to chose a class to make for my schedule I would make a nursing class so I can learn more about nursing for my job. I want to become a registered nurse and I think it would be awesome if i started learning about it now. I could get further in life with my job by learning more by starting sooner. I think that if i had that class in high school for my junior year, then my senior year i would go to Eldon Vo Tech. They have a class in Vo Tech that would help me out a lot by learning much more than i could on my own by looking it up. It would help me get scholarships and know more about my job going into college than i would without going there.
