Responsibility

Were you ever given a responsibility that you couldn't handle? What did you do to get the task done?  Or, how did you get out of doing it?

  1. NO, I had to babysit my sisters for a whole weekend. I just had them be in their own rooms so nobody is arguing and that's about it.I did my own thing and made food for them, but it was pretty simple. No biggy.

  2. Once I was tasked of watching the house while the family went out. They asked if I wanted to come but I politely declined. I was walking through my house for water and tripped and fell onto a table. I knocked everything off the table and forgot to clean it. My parents came home and yelled at me for not cleaning it. Everytime I hear responsibility i think of that day.

  5. I had the responsibility of moving this pile of lumber for my step dad because he didnt have time to do it but the wood was too heavy and awkward for just one person to move in the short amount of time given so I got help from a friend and knocked it out.

But I'm sure that one day that I might have one that I wont be able to handle. until then though I have not had a to hard to handle responsibility.

  7. I've never not been able to handle something persay, but a few times I have been overwhelmed. Like when my bosses, the Shadwicks, leave the state and leave the whole farm to take care of. The two sets of turkey barnes plus the cattle, I just take it one day at a time and complete my tasks.

I don't recall ever having a responsibility that I couldn't handle. I usually get things done when I need to and don't ever have to ask for help. Usually if there is something that needs to get done and my mom knows I can't do it she'll ask someone else to do it instead.

Have I ever had a responsibility that I couldn't handle? Well, when I was younger, my sister and I made dinner together almost every night. One night I won't forget though, was when we decided to make mashed potatoes for the first time. We cut them into little pieces and then tried to use the mixer to mash them, but we never warmed them up or softened them first. When we turned the mixer on, potatoes flew everywhere! We made such a huge mess, as we were trying to clean it up our mom came home. She walked in and asked what happened. When we told her she just started laughing and helped us clean it. After we got it all cleaned up, she taught us how to successfully make mashed potatoes. Overall, I have had a responsibility, making dinner, that I couldn't handle.

One time I had to feed our calves for my dad because he threw his back out and he couldn't do anything. We have a shed where we keep some hay we spread out the hay behind the shed because the calves can go behind it. My dad told me to give the calves a few bales of hay and that's all that I had to do for them. So I went out there and got a few hay bales and spread them out for the calves. What my dad didn't tell me was that he put up the wire so that the calves couldn't get behind the shed and could only stay by the barn. I had to pick up every chunk of hay and carry it to the barn for calves. I made a chore that only takes about ten minutes last for thirty minutes.

I'd like to think of myself as a responsible person. I'm somewhere along the way there has been a responsibility that I couldn't handle, but I can' t really think of one right now.

I have never had a responsibility that I couldn't handle. I try my hardest to get everything done and get it done right. Usually when I have to do something I get it done correctly. I have never had a responsibility that I couldn't handle.

I don't think that I've ever came up to a problem where I couldn't solve it and needed help. Everyone would always either explain to me what I needed to do or I would figure it out as I went along with it. Kind of a fake it until you make it kind of deal.

I'd like to think of myself as a responsible person. I'm sure somewhere along the way there has been a responsibility that I couldn't handle, but I can' t really think of one right now. As I grow older I'll have more responsibilities that I'll have to handle, but right now I've been able to handle all of my responsibilities.

I cannot think of one that I have never been able to handle. Im sure I don't always do then in the most efficient way. Sometimes I don't always do my responsibilities right away. One thing I never remember is put trash bags in the trash cans after I take the trash out. My always has to remind me.

  18. I can't think of any responsibilities that I haven't I couldn't handle. I normally try my hardest to get everything done and correctly. But sometimes if it is a lot to handle I get nervous and may panic a little. But for the most part I can handle everything.

I've had to get the hogs that escaped the pen off the road while I was home alone. I got home from school one day and two sows were out wandering around the yard, I went after them but they headed towards the road so I had to get them turned around and cornered so I could get them back to the hole In the Fence without one of them getting away and going back to the road. I got them cornered and led them back with an empty bucket and wired the pen back so they couldn't get back out.

It was a breezy day in November I was the only one home and I was told I need to clean the house and take care of the animals while they were gone. I awoke and heard a loud thump come from the living room. I went to investigate, when I entered the room I saw it laying there motionless staring at me I picked it up walked to the bathroom and and I flushed my sister's fish down the toilet. It was the hardest thing I had ever done.

I can't think of any responsibility that I couldn't handle. My mom and dad never put me in situations that were too much for me. If anything the only thing I couldn't handle is doing homework on time. I think that not doing homework is not like I can't do it instead of I choose not to do it.

I've never been given a responsibility that I could not handle. I've had to do many things from watching 5 kids at once to helping clean up my adoptive step grandma who had an accident. I'm a pretty responsible person. I normally get done what needs to be done without needing to be reminded more than a couple times.

One might say that I shrugged a little bit of responsibility with the FBLA contest. I got there late, never bothered to check that the projector worked with my computer, and barely wrote a speech. It was quite an eye opening experience about the values of preparing for important things.

  24. I have never had a responsibility I couldn't handle.Generally I just have chores around the house. Like farm work. I just remember my work as a everyday thing.

  25. I've never really had a responsibility that I couldn't handle. From a young age I learned responsibility by taking care of my brothers and sisters. The only thing I can think of would be homework. I have always been bad about doing my homework. And chores on days I was home and my mom wasn't. I'm good at putting stuff off until the last minute!

There was this one time in volleyball that I couldn't do my responsibility. I was in volleyball practice and the team was scrimmaging and I was told to run the setter's position. Well, I never do that because never once in my life have I been a setter. So we start the game and I completely forget that I am the setter and I go outside to hit. Second ball hits the ground, their point. Next go around I remember to set but gosh are my sets ugly. I think I'll leave that up to Lacey. That's just a responsibility I want no part in.

I've never had responsibility that I can not handle. Sometimes when my mom asks me to clean the house and I don't want to and I will wait like last minute to do it like before she gets home from work.

  28. I have never had a task I couldn't handle. If I did ever get one that I couldn't do I would ask for help. Sometimes when I get a task I'll wait before I complete it, but usually I finish it as soon as possible so I don't have to worry about it later. I have traded tasks with my siblings to get out of it though.

I am usually pretty good at handling big responsibilities but sometimes the smaller ones give me trouble, such as keeping my room and bathroom clean. I have a bad habit of leaving my loot from events, such as Christmas and birthdays, on my bench in my room. Actually a lot of my senior night stuff is still there..I really need to get better about that. My other responsibilities include my job and making sure that my brothers don't do anything ridiculous, and that is always a formidable task.

The only responsibility I couldn't handle was in the summer when I had to do 3 turkey barns all by myself. It was really tiring and I had to take a few breaks because it was so hot and I got really light headed. It took me 3 1/2 hours to get it done. I kept doubting that I couldn't do it but I did and I made 100 dollars in one day. So it was worth it.

What's the biggest responsibility I have ever had? How did I handle it? Well, when I was either in first grade or Kindergarten, we lived up in Trenton, Mo. My sibling, twin cousins, and I used to play in my neighbors yard and ride our bikes. The only problem was that my cousins didn't have bikes, so we would share ours. To fix this we came up with a game. The goal was to ride your bike around the pile of wood and dodge the rocks that the other two were throwing, and if you got hit, you ha to give up your bike. Well my cousin Cody broke the rules and threw a really big rock, and it hit my sister in the head. I don't really remember the rest, but what I do remember is there was blood. A lot of blood, there was so much blood, I thought she was gonna die, and I didn't know what to do, so I carried her the short distance up the hill and back home. My mom took care of her, but I looked down and realized that my hands and shirt were covered in my sister blood. I was scared, but I didn't panic, I got my sister home safely.

I can't really think of anytime i've had a responsibility i could not handle. So instead i'll write about some of the responsibilities i have had in my life. Since i've been in highschool I've been and officer in FFA and FCCLA for 2 years and this year i'm on prom committee. In the groups i have had to be in charge or hep organize a lot of events and meetings and fundraisers. Even in yearbook I've had the responsibility of getting yearbook spreads done and on time.

No, I don't think that I have ever been given too much responsibility that I couldn't handle.

  34. I don't mean to toot my own horn, but I don't think i have ever been given a responsibility that I could not handle. I don't believe anyone has. If someone doesn't fulfill a responsibility, it's not because they can't, but because they won't. Now there's been plenty of times that I have refused to be responsible, but that's because I'm lazy.

I cannot really think of a time where I was given a task that I couldn't do. The only thing I can think of that comes semi close was when I was asked to be home by a certain time. Sometimes I will have something planned, like bowling at 10, and my moms expects me to be home at 11. It is kind of impossible considering the bowling alley is 45 minutes away and that doesn't include the time I have to have to bowl. This is really hard because it is impossible to be home at 11. If she really will NOT let me go and do what I wanted, I would have to find something else to do. I mean, it isn't a really big deal but it kind of stinks!

I don't ever remember being given a task that I couldn't handle. Sometimes I am given tasks that are difficult but usually I get them done by having someone help me. There are a lot of tasks I am given that I don't really want to do but they are not too difficult.

So far, there hasn't been a responsibility I couldn't handle. If I don't follow through with something, it's usually because I don't want to, not because I can't. Generally I volunteer to help out for events because I like to keep busy, but if there's a responsibility I object to, I will not do it, plain and simple. But in the end, I'm pretty good at handling my responsibilities.

Well I cant really think of that there has been something that I cant handle cause most of the time when I am responsible for something and there is a problem I just figure out a way to fix it. That is probably my best thing is that i'm really good at problem solving.
