Ouch!! That's gonna leave a mark
It seems like everyone is getting hurt lately. This weekend we were out at my grandparents farm riding four-wheelers and my poor mom broke her foot! After seeing Nelson's eye and Quaid hobbling around it made me wonder--what's the worst injury you've ever had? Mine is when I tore my ACL my junior year playing basketball. WORST paid of my life!! So, what have you had surgery for? Had in a cast? Had stitched up? With two little daredevil boys at home I'm sure a few trips to the ER is in my future :)

The worst injury I ever had was when I broke and dislocated my arm. It was last year during soccer season and a kid fell on me and I felt it slide out of place so right then I knew that something was broke. They took me in a ambulance to the lake hospital and then they put me in another ambulance and took me to Columbia Hospital and they took some xrays and then popped my arm back into place and I ended up breaking two bones and my growth plate I was in a cast for nine weeks.

My worst injury was definitely breaking my butt. I fell off of a tree and landed right on it. For about 6 months it hurt just to attempt to stand and sit, I had to prepare myself to stand up it hurt so bad. I never really went to the doctors i just took some ibuprofen and iced it. But other then that I haven't had many injuries.

I've never really been seriously hurt, like i've never had a broken bone, needed stitches, or had a cast for any reason. I usually try to be careful when i'm doing anything so most of the stories that I have are about me almost getting hurt, but i've never actually been hurt to the extent of needing to go to the hospital.
The worst injury I've had is when I cut my ACL in my right knee...I think 8th grade year. Although I've had a lot of injuries. When I was like four, my foot went through a window and I had stitches on my ankle. Then a couple years later my brothers were pulling me on ice and I cut up my knee bad enough for stitches. Then I've broken all of my fingers just doing random things. A couple years ago I cut open my arm on rigid glass and had to have stitches for that. I've had a concussion twice, once from a dirt bike, the other from falling off my horse lol. Been an interesting time.

Well the worst pain I've ever felt was when I was in fourth grade and I smashed my to under foot a log and destroyed my toe. Then in seventh grade I was racing my friend to the bathroom because it only had one stall with a door so we of course both wanted it and we were running and I tripped on his foot and smacked my face off the stall door ironic right needless to say 7 stitches later I was at pizza hut eating hot wings. The next thing was when I was this year when I rolled the crap out of my ankle during conference soccer and kept playing then did it again during basketball season twice and now the stitches and the swelling in my cheek that make me look like I'm half asian.
I've never had any broken bones or torn muscles or ligaments. I haven't had any major injuries that involved a cast or stitches. The only surgery I've ever had is when I got my tonsils taken out, and that wasn't bad at all. I don't know, I haven't gotten physically hurt too many times, and when I did it wasn't bad.

I would have to say probably the worst injury I have ever had is breaking my ankle. It felt pretty good. Especially when I landed at the bottom of a hole surrounded by stacked hay bales. I had to be raised out by a lariat rope. I then when to the hospital and had to have surgery. It was great.

I am very fortunate that I have never had bad injury. I mean I have rolled ankles and pulled muscles before but have never had to go to the doctor for an injury. Of course I hope that I never get a bad injury. If our basketball team keeps getting hurt we won't have much of a team anymore.

I haven't had a lot of injuries but one time I had shingles and that wasn't very pleasant. One time I hit a cow and that hurt my car pretty bad.
It was a nice August day in 2014 at Black Hills Harley Davidson. Sturgis Rally was in full swing but the shop was kinda slow, so I figured it'd be a good time to put my new grips on my dirt bike! And of course me being the impatient person I am, I didn't wait for the glue to set and dry. As I was taking my dirt bike back outside, the throttle stuck and I ran into a palate full of parts. As I was getting up I sat on the hot pipe and got a narley burn on the back of my legs and I now also have some wicked scars on my legs from the peg digging into it, and I almost passed out! Moral of the story I should be patient sometimes and do things properly.

I broke my foot one time and that hurt pretty bad, but to me, a sprained ankle hurts way worse than a broken ankle and I've had plenty of those.
One of the worst injuries I have ever had was when I got thrown off a horse and broke my arm in multiple places after landing on the gravel road I was on. It hurt pretty bad but since we were visiting family pretty far away we didn't know the area well. The closest hospital was an hour away so we went and we waited four hours and they still didn't check my arm so we went back to where we were staying. I went to the hospital 2 days later on my birthday... I've broken my left arm twice and I sprained my right wrist, I also had a small tear in my meniscus. So I've had a couple injuries but nothing I would consider to serious.

The worst injury I've ever had was when I got into a four wheeler accident. I went to go around a corner and I was going to fast so I flipped and fell into a 4-5 foot ditch. My fourwheeler landed on top of me, I fractured my jaw. I think it was from my jaw bouncing off the handle bar, it sucked because all I could eat was soup for the longest time.
The worst injury I have had was the cut on my finger. I was at a Chief's tailgate. Me and my cousin were playing football in the parking lot and I went to catch the ball. I was running for it and cause the ball and knocked a table over. There was a beer bottle on the table at I knocked it over as well. The glass shattered and we got yelled at to pick it up. So me and him picked the glass up. We went to the trash and I reached my hand in the trash to set it in, then my cousin reached in and the glass in his hand slid over my finger and cut it to the bone. Blood rushed out of my finger for like 10 minutes and lost like 30% of my blood.

Probably the worst injury I have had is when I cut off my finger tip in a door. Had to go to the hospital and get it stitched back on. It eventually just fell off.

What's the most painful injury I have ever had? I would say it was when I was 5 maybe 6. The previous day my sibling and I were riding bikes at my grandmas house, and I noticed that my siblings took the grips off their handle bars, and so I did the same. At the time I never noticed that they put theirs back on, so I mistakedly just threw mine on the ground and left them there. The following day we were all riding bikes at my cousins house, and as I was going super fast down a huge hill, my brakes decided to stop working, and I lost control of my bike, tumbled down the hill, and the handle bar jabbed me super hard in the bottom of my chin! Luckily it didn't puncture through the skin, but it sure felt like it did!!

I am fortunate that I have never had a serious injury. This is very surprising, because I am not the most graceful person. I've had several bike/trampoline/basketball related injuries, but nothing too serious. However, the most pain I've ever been in was not from an injury. It was when I had tonsilitis. My throat hurt so bad that I couldn't hardly breathe. I had to drink water constantly all day long. It was absolutely horrible and I do not recommend it.

I think my worst injury ever would have to be when I got stitches on my lip. When I was about 2 and a half I had those little blue play school chairs. I was jumping off of it telling my mom I was "Super Man" she told me multiple times to knock it off but I kept it up. Finally I ended up jumping off and hitting my face on the ground, biting completely through my lip. I had to have 8 stiches and obviously a scar to this day. I don't remember the pain, my mom however told me that by the time got to the hospital that I had already stopped crying. I lived about 10 minutes from Bothwell so it really couldn't have been that bad, however my mom had told me I bled quite a bit.

The worst injury i have ever had was when i broke my wrist. I went ice skating and kept falling over and over. i guess i managed to fall enough times to eventually crack my wrist because when i got home that day it hurt pretty bad. Turns out i cracked my growth plate.

When I was little I broke my collarbone in 3 places, other than that I have never have got injured since. Just some small things and some tendonitis freshman year, and a concussion.
I also cracked my rib during soccer season
DeleteFortunately, I have never had a serious injury. I don't think I have even had anything close to minor. The worst injury I have had sounds pretty silly compared to everyone else. When I was in junior high, my 7th grade volleyball year I rolled my ankle once coming down from a hit. It felt fine two days later.

I have never had surgery, stitches, or a cast. I am apparently not a daredevil at all because I have never really had a serious injury. This year I think I had the worst injury I have ever had. I stepped on a rusty nail while trying to feed my chickens and couldn't walk for days. That was the worst pain I ever had and it didn't heal completely for months!

The worst injury that I've ever had was when I tore my meniscus during volleyball this year. I didn't hurt right away, but it start to burn and the pain got worse. I had to have surgery to stitch the tear back together. I'm glad that I only have three little dots as scars and not a long scar on the side of my knee like the doctor told me. I hope that I never have an injury like that or have surgery again.
My worst injury was when I was coming home from school and I was riding my 4- Wheeler. As I went around a turn my back tire fell in a hole and the 4- wheeler landed on top of me. It cracked my head open and at first I didn't know that it happened so walked up to my house. As I was walking blood started to run down my face and then I started to run to my house to see what was wrong. So I went to the doctors and had to get stitches in my head but really it didn't hurt at all. Which is still kind of bizarre considering that I had a hole in my head.

The worst injury that I have ever had was when I split my temple open in third grade. I was in volleyball practice and as I was running to the back of the line, a boy stepped out of line to give me a high five, and then I tripped. After I tripped, I hit my temple on a bolt that was holding up the mats in the gym. It split it open pretty good and I had to go to the emergency room to get stitches. That was probably the worst injury I have had.
Though it's probably not the worst injury of my life, the most recent injury that I have been afflicted with that is still fresh in my mind (and my fingers) was when i got cut by a rusty machete. It happened in Wade's backyard one fateful night. Well it was actually 2 in the afternoon on a Wednesday, but fateful night sounds better. I was captured by Alan who was at Wade's house for some strange reason, and he locked me up in the trampoline net. He threatened me that any attempts of escape would result in my death by the rusty machete he brandished. Being the courageous idiot I was, I unzipped the cobwebbed trap and began to crawl out. Unfortunately, Alan was on the other side, and his rusty machete came striking down upon me. To prevent my untimely death, I caught the blade with my right hand. The sharp blade formed deep cuts on my index and middle finger as my hand slid off it. The cuts were deep enough to see the muscle on the inside of the fingers, and there was blood all over Wade's house. Wade was there and he almost called the police, but Alan cut out his tongue and the phone line, so Wade was not able to call for help. He did have a flip phone, but every time he tried to call on it, it would just connect him to someone that would make fun of his cell phone. All in all, The injuries left scars on my fingers that may never leave, and will more than likely haunt me forever. Also, word of advice, never be around Alan while he is holding sharp objects, and never have knife fights on trampolines at night or at 2 in the afternoon.
ReplyDeleteOne might say that this version of the story is exaggerated.
DeleteI have only had one surgery and that was when i tore my Acl back in october. I would say it was the worse pain I have ever felt. I walked on it for a month before i had the surgery. Only other thing that comes close to it is when i cut the tip of my finge off in a screen door when i was really little. They just sewed it back on but now i have no feeling in the tip of my finger, but it was nothing like the acl tear.
ReplyDeleteI have never broken any bones or never had to get stitches. I guess you can say that i'm just lucky.Out of all the things that have happen to me I have to say I am just so lucky. The worst I have got was a busted lip, that's it nothing more. I have never went to the hospital broken bones or getting stitches.

The worst injury that I have ever had was when I broke my arm. I was in the third grade and I was at an after school daycare place. We were in the gym and everyone wanted to play dodgeball so we picked teams and started to play. I tripped on the ball and put my arms out when I fell and broke my arm.
I think the worst pain i have ever felt was the time i injured my leg playing football. I dont know exactly what i did to it because i refused to go to the doctor, even though mother tried to get me to go. It happened during the summer so i was limping around for a good two weeks. The only bad part was my mothers friend called me "gimp", and the fact i couldn't play football.
ReplyDeleteThe worst injury that I had is when I was 5 and my two older sisters told me to jump off of the top of our bunkbed and they would catch me they did catch me the first time but the second time they didn't and i fell on a metal bed frame and busted my head open and had 47 staples in my head.
ReplyDeleteThe worst injury that i have ever had was when i was out riding dirtbikes with a friend. There was a big ditch on the other side of this little hill and i didn't see it.I crashed into it and when this happened i had tried to catch myself with my hand and broke my arm. Then went riding for a couple more hours after i crashed. That's when i finally realized at the end of the day it was broken.

In my lifetime I've only had surgery once and that was just to get my tonsils out. Although I've almost broken my foot once from a horse falling on it at my friends house while we were riding the horse slipped on a patch of ice and tipped over. It hurt pretty bad and I couldn't walk on it for a few days but I was fine. I think the worst pain I've ever felt was when I would get ear infections when I was little. I remember the pain being so bad I would cry. Although I don't exactly remember but I could imagine that it hurt a lot was when I had to go to the hospital because I had stuck a necklace in my ears and they started bleeding and yet again we were off to the hospital.
Actually to this point in my life, my luck has held up against injuries. I have had some close calls, some really really close. I guess its just dumb luck, I hope it stays strong.

I haven't ever really got hurt seriously hurt before. I have never been to the ER for a severe injury. The only time I have been to the ER is for stomach pains, migraines, and getting my tonsils removed. I am a very clumsy person and I hurt myself a bunch, but I am never unlucky enough to get severely hurt. I have sprained my ankles, hurt my hip, been in a TERRIBLE horse accident, and split my face open from falling up a hill before, but I have never had to get stitches or go to the hospital because of it. So I would probably have to say that the most pain I have ever had was when I was in the horse accident. The horse took off running and took me through all the woods at Harlie Rodriguez house. The reins dropped so there was no way for me to stop the horse. When he finally stopped at the fence line, I got off of him and ran through the field trying to get bad to the house. I ended up getting all the skin tore off of my arms and cuts on my face. A piece of a stick about and inch long went in my eye and was stuck. My mom got it out and a day or two later I went to the doctor. They put dye in my eye and checked my eye out. They told me that if it had gotten any closer to my retina than I probably would have had major eye problems or even blindness. This happened to me in 6th grade, and if I wouldn't have ha my best friend Samantha to help me write for me and carry my stuff, School would have been much harder than it already was.

I haven't had any real injuries. The only injuries I ever had were rolling my ankle in soccer games. The only real injury I had was having cancer but I am pretty sure that it's not considered and injury.
As far as injuries go, I have been really lucky. I have had some close calls, bruises, cuts, but dumb lock seems to save me. Hopefully it sticks with me, sports can be tough enough without dealing with an injury.

My worst injury was probably whenever I severely jammed my big toe freshman year in Gym class. We were playing soccer and one of the upperclassmen and I went to kick the ball at the same, but they got to the ball a split second before me. This lead to my foot ramming full force into the concrete wall, leaving my toe black and blue. I thought I had broke it at first, but I later learned it was just severely jammed, although I never went to the doctor.
