Happy Red Ribbon Week! I don't know about you, but I love a good themed dress up week. I think it's great when everyone can come together to celebrate and bring awareness to good causes (and it promotes school spirit). If you were in charge of selecting the theme for each day, what would you choose? List the days of the week and select a fun category for each. Be sure to explain why you'd like to dress this way for each day. Have fun with this and hope to see you all participating this week!!

There would be so many cool things to do. On monday I would have crazy hair day. Then tuesday I would have a day to dress up as celebrity. On wednesday I would do dress up like you are from a circus. Then thursday I would wear our clothing backwards. Last I would have it so we would wear red. I think that is what I would do.

Monday- I think pajamas is good because its monday who wouldn't want to be lazy... yes I know I didn't do pajama day because I forgot about red ribbon week.
Tuesday- Get into spirit! Were everyone dresses up in school colors and have a pep rally, because I just really like pep rallies. Includes crazy hair, face paint, and whatever else I guess.
Wednesday- Wacky Wednesday because everyone loves wacky Wednesdays. Wacky everything so hair and closes.
Thursday- Celebrity day were you dress up as a famous celebrity because its fun and who wouldn't want to dress like a celebrity because sometimes their outfits are crazy or really nice.
Friday- Free day were we play games all day long. The games would be soccer, volleyball, basketball, dodgeball, and whatever else you would like to play.

If I could change the themes for spirit week I would only keep pajama day on Monday. I would make Tuesday Tip Top Tuesday where you dress your best. Wednesday would be Wacky Wednesday, you dress in your most craziest clothes and just make that day a fun, goofy day. On Thursday (Teacher Thursday) everyone would be dressed as one of their teachers. Last but not least Friday. Food Friday everyone dresses up as their favorite food or just any food in general.

For spirit week I would like it to be original and something that not a lot of other schools do. For Monday I want it to be wear bright colors because everyone is usually tired on Mondays and bright colors would brighten peoples day. On Tuesday I want it to be dress to impress. Everyone will dress up and look really nice because it is fun to dress up. On wednesday dress like like your career. Dress like you would at your future job. On thursday wear your stover colors and show our school spirit. On Friday wear pjs because you get to go home and don't have school for the weekend.
Monday - backward day because sometimes you just want to go back in time to fixes things.

Wednesday - color war between 6th - 12th grade - 6 is red, 7 is green, 8 is orange, 9 is pink, 10 is yellow, 11 is blue, 12 is purple. because we all need color to brighten our world.
Thursday - crazy hair day because we are bulldogs and don't care what people say.
Friday - spirit war who has more school spirit for grades 6th -12th

Monday: Pajama Day, because mondays are seriously the days that I am just too lazy to really care about anything.
Tuesday: Favorite Super hero day, I think that would be a fun thing for anyone to do and it would be fun to see what people came up with.
Wednesday: Camo day, I think that it would persuade a lot of people to participate here.
Thursday: Dress up as your favorite animal, I think that would be so fun just to see what people think of.
Friday: Color war, I think because we have so many competitive people in our school that it would be fun to have a prize to see how far people go.

I would like to be in charge of picking the days for a themed week. I would make Monday pajama day because Monday is always a good day to wear pajamas. I would make Tuesday dress up as your favorite actor, actress, or singer. I would make Wednesday a color war day. Each grade would have their own color. I would make Thursday dress as your future career day. I would make Friday dress up in your favorite sports team attire. That's one of my favorite days.

For Red Ribbon Week, I would do pajama day for Monday. I would pick pajama day for Monday because nobody likes Mondays and it a lazy day for everyone. Tuesday, I would make it to where everyone dress up as their favorite sports player or favorite sports. I would make this one because I love sports and I think it'd be cool if everyone showed off and supported their favorite sport. On Wednesday, I would make it to where everyone dresses up as their favorite video game character. I think it would be awesome to see how many different characters people show up as. On Thursday, I would have a neon color war day, every grade would get a different neon color to go all out on. I would do it to have a fun competition between the grades. For Friday, I would do Orange and Black day for spirit day supporting the school and it's colors.
I think Monday should obviously be the pajamas because it symbolises getting up fresh and getting ready for the week. Tuesday should be dress as favorite drink to wash away drugs from your life. Wednesday dress as favorite superhero to beat down drugs. For Thursday dress up describing your favorite song to drown out the peer pressure to do drugs. On Friday support your favorite team to team up against drugs.

Monday would be Pajama day, Tuesday would be to dress up as your favorite History figure, Wednesday would be to dress up as your favorite music artist, thursday would be crazy socks day, friday would be Wacky hair/hat day.
I think Monday should obviously be a pajama day, who doesn't want to start the week like that? Tuesday would be dress up as your favorite super hero, it's always great to see what the students put together (I'd get a group of friends to make like the justice league or the avengers or something of the sort.) Wednesday would be rock out drugs or something where you could dress as your favorite band or music artist, it'd be great so see what they listen to or see the instruments they brought in. Thursday would be a color war, each grade would have a different color to battle out the drugs then at the end of the day and then on Friday, if it was the day before Halloween again, I would like to see people like dressed up as monsters to scare away drugs however if it wasn't we would just do a spirit day to show the agreement on a proud drug free school.

Monday: Movie monday. Each class, (freshman, Sophomore, Junior, and Senior) gets a selected room where we just watch movies in our pajamas all day while eating snack with our friends!
Tuesday: Taco Tuesday! The teachers supply the ingredients for tacos and all of the students enjoy, as well as the teachers. Who doesn't love a good taco?
Wednesday: Wacky Wednesday! Wear your hair wacky, your clothes wacky, your makeup wacky. Just be wacky and silly!
Thursday: Team spirit Thursday! Wear your favorite teams colors whether it's football, baseball, or soccer, or even wrestling! Support your team! Show some team spirit!
Friday: Freaky Friday! Switch places with a friend for a day! Dress like your friend, switch schedules for the day, and switch lives just for a day!

Monday- Neon day: It's Monday and everyone is tired, so it might be fun to try and liven things up.
Tuesday- Superhero day: Superheroes are awesome, and it is really fun to dress up like them.
Wednesday- Orange and black day: School spirit is very important, so we definitely need a day committed to it.
Thursday- Dress as favorite fictional character day: I'm always looking for a reason to represent my favorite things, so I think this day is great.
Friday- Pajama day: Having a nice lazy day to lead into the weekend sounds awesome. Watching movies would also be a good idea.

Monday- pajama day, i know this day is already taken but it fits so well. Its monday and no one is going to want to put much effort into dressing up so you might as well make it easy.
Tuesday- Wear winter clothes, Its "cool" to not do drugs so dress like its cold outside.
Wednesday- hat day, once again this is already done but this would be an extreme hat day. You wouldn't be aloud to wear normal ball caps. you would have to create and decorate some amazing crazy hat.
thursday- school spirit day, dress up in the most orange and black you can and be completely crazy with school spirit to show how fun being drug free is.
Friday- No drug day, In honor of not doing drugs you also don't go to school.

I think that red ribbon week should be more fun. If I was in charge of red ribbon week I would make different themes for the days. On monday it would be crossdressing day where students can dress like their opposite gender. Tuesday would be dress like a crazy person. Wednesday would be bring your dog to school day where kids can bring their dogs to school. Thursday would be themed lazy day were you can just hangout in nothing but sweats and comfy clothes. The last theme would be Merica day and students can dress as patriotic as they want.

These are less like dress-up days, and more like behavior days.
Monday: "Forget about Drugs" (Forget to come to school)
Tuesday: "Throw away Drugs" (Throw away all your homework)
Wednesday: "Yell away the Drugs" (Speak at twice the normal volume)
Thursday: "Don't let Drugs control you" (Do not follow any orders)
Friday: "Leave Drugs behind" (Leave School an hour early)
If I got to pick the dress up I'd probably just throw something together at the last minute because well it's me and I like to procrastinate! Friday would definitely be a costume contests, since red ribbon week is around halloween. ReplyDeleteSo the red ribbon week was fun, I did win and got a ball. I didn't dress up at all and it's not that i think it's stupid they day did not change. They stayed the same as last year. If they want more people to dress up do different days.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy red ribbon week but they seem to do the same things everytime. I think we should get more creative and do more fun things so then more people will participate. Like do such things as be a teacher day, opposite day (boys dress like girls, girls dress like guys), or just other things. The people just need to get way more creative.

1: leave drugs behind, leave school randomly throughout the day
2: Throw drugs away, carefully place all homework items in the garbage and set on fire
3: get drugs out of your system, consume approximately 5 gallons of water first hour.
4: Resist Addiction, stop doing your normal routine by going to whatever classroom you want each hour.
5: Quit Cold Turkey, eat the school lunch's "turkey" (bring a hot towel to let it thaw, due to budget cuts we couldn't do that part).
