Free write
It was requested last week (and my brain isn't cooperating this morning), you can have a free write to blog this week. Since I'm not limiting your creativity with a topic, I expect these to go above and beyond a normal post. Feel free to make me laugh, cry, or you can just vent about anything on your mind. Happy Monday and first day of SECOND QUARTER!!!
Great. The only reason these blogs were so easy is because you always had a topic I could write about. Now that I have to use my own topic i don't know what to write about. Now I can throw this onto the pile of work i have to make up for because I couldn't go to school because I had a relative in the hospital. So the school decided homework would soothe my grieving.

For my free write I think I will talk about this stupid weather. I hate Missouri weather. It will go from being crazy cold one day to really hot the next day, so every morning I have to now check the weather to see if its going to be cold or warmer so I can know if I'm going to need to dress warm. I wish the weather would stop being bipolar and just pick if it wants to be cold or warm, but right now it should be cold ish not crazy cold that at night we wake up from being so cold you have to find another blanket even after you are wearing a small blanket and a big heavy quilt.
I am so excited for my future. I have big plans for my life. I am going to be a Illustrator, hopely working for authors and companies all over the world. I will become a huge artist in this world. Having pieces of my life all over the world. Its going to be so great for my future. I hope that I become a huge sensation with my art. I hope I inspire people all over the world to do what they love. When I get started being an Illustrator its going to be tough, but when I get out there its going to be great. Also average pay is almost $5500 a month. I think thats more then my parents get together in a year. I just cant wait to become an Illustrator. -Business Tech.

So we stayed with him, they let him come home on hospital rest, but the next day he passed away. It was so quit in the house for two hours that you could hear a pin drop.

Well since I get to rant, well I was told we did have a game today. So now I will have to go home after school...Which isn't all bad, I do have some scholarships I need to work on. Being a senior...Well I thought It would be a lot more fun than it really is. I mean don't get me wrong I am ecstatic to get out of here and be out on my own...however, Sometimes it just feels like I am drowning in all my responsibilities. It also kind of sucks to look around and see all the people you are leaving behind, I am going to miss so many people.

Well, I'm happy today because I finally got my letter from Westminster College. I got accepted! Not only that, I got letters from 4 other colleges throughout the past week asking me to get in touch with them so I can further discuss my higher education. So I am pretty happy. Honestly, I've always felt like I was to stupid to accomplish anything let alone get accepted to a college and still have other colleges wanting me. It makes you feel pretty special. Like for real I started crying the other day because for once I didn't feel so stupid and useless. Feeling like you can actually make a difference, changes your whole view of yourself. I'm happy that I can finally feel like me graduating instead of dropping out was the best decision i've ever made. I want everyone in school to know that even when you feel like you have nothing left, like your to stupid to accomplish anything, or to dumb to graduate; that you are way wrong. You can do it if you put your all into it. Give it everything you've got and you will succeed.

So on Thursday we got to go to a regional conference for FCCLA and they had a guest speaker that I think was really cool and funny. We got to listen to him talk about how to not exclude people and to be nice to everyone. We went to Burger king after that and I got to just sit and have lunch with a whole bunch of my friends. The trip was really fun and can't wait till next time we go.

Well we're officially moved in. I somewhat like this house but the only down side is the rooms are a lot smaller then my old room but oh well that means I won't have a lot of junk I don't need. But it's ok I guess I like how short it takes to get to school now. Anyways hows the weather? I definitely wish it was still warm because I don't really care for cold weather but its ok if its cold just I don't really like snow.... Well I would like it if it was just on the grass and trees and that kind of stuff instead of on the road and sidewalks.... SO hope its a dry winter.

Volleyball is almost over which makes me very sad, but it also means soccer season is even closer! Basketball season is after volleyball, which means it is about to start really soon. I wasn't even planning on playing basketball this year because I was going to work more hours at G2M. I haven't played basketball on a team before and Matty influenced me into trying it so I think I might try it out. After basketball is soccer and track, last year I did both sports at the same time. I actually want to do track, but I don't like how it is the same time as soccer. Last year was hectic between both of the sports and I feel like I missed out on a lot more of soccer than I should have. This year I'm just doing soccer so I can focus on soccer more and get better. So far I've taught myself how to rainbow, but it isn't as good I would like it to be. I want to work on my fakes more so I can be good enough to control my fakes and do it during a game. Volleyball ending upsets me, but I cant wait for soccer season!
Today for lunch is corn dog and salad. I dont like salad so got the corn dog. The corn dog is not really that good, the breading doesnt taste that good usually. So today I dont really know if i going to get the corn dog or the salad.

This weekend we had the Stover Classic, we lost to Calvary Lutheran on Friday. That night the whole soccer team went over to Brendan's and played Fifa. Saturday, we beat Smithton 1-0 in overtime. That afternoon we played Osage and lost to them 1-0. We played good though, so that's a plus.

This weekend we played in the Stover Classic, maybe my most favorite tournament ever. We didn't do that good but I still love playing in it. I think that the loss to Calvary Lutheran was the toughest of the season. It's always tough to lose those overtime games. Even though we go t six place we just need to be ready to come back next year. Now it's time to get ready for basketball season.

Okay here's a title for you, "The Train". Kids and teens today live their life riding on the train. If something new comes onto the train, its first first thing they see and first thing they say. If something becomes popular on the train, people will try and recreate and make it their own. If the train says this, than anything else is wrong, it must be because the train didn't say it. People outside or even on the train or outcasted if they disagree with the train's words. People will believe so blindly on what the train says is real, but when reality strikes the train no longer appeals to them. Some hook onto the train so they can become popular, or just so their opinion will be heard, but to no regard it isn't their opinion anymore....their opinion has become part of the train. I don't need the train, and my opinion doesn't need to be mouth fed to those who ride it. Just because the train says the sky is blue, doesn't mean it is, the only way you will truly know if something is....is to go find out for yourself and quit eating the words of the long winded train. Someday, you're going to look somewhere outside the world of the train, and see someone who is free from it's grasp, and be envious you didn't fight for your own opinion rather than do what everyone else was doing. Someday there won't be a train, then what will you ride and take the easy way rather than walk the road that no one wants to.

This past weekend was the Stover Classic, I didn't get to play and it really sucked. I didn't get to play because I broke my wrist in a soccer game in Iberia. It is not very fun sitting on the bench watching your team play. We lost to osage and calvary lutheran but we beat smithton in overtime. So that was my weekend.
So volleyball is almost over...Kinda sad, I'll miss the games and watching my teammates bring it down on the other teams with the crazy crowds but the end of volleyball just brings another decision to my mind. I'd love to try and play basketball however I think my job would kill me if I didn't start working more. It's almost funny but I figured I probably shouldn't bother them with another sport schedule until soccer...I can't wait for soccer. During the winter months I think I'll just focus on homework and actually making something that will count. I'm excited for things to come I think it'll be a good year.

Frank: "Recently, I was honored to be selected as a judge at a chili cook-off. The original person called in sick at the last moment and I happened to be standing there at the judge's table, asking for directions to the Coors Light truck, when the call came in. I was assured by the other two judges (Native Texans) that the chili wouldn't be all that spicy; and, besides, they told me I could have free beer during the tasting, so I accepted and became Judge 3."
Here are the scorecard notes from the event:
CHILI # 1 - MIKE'S MANIAC MONSTER CHILI
Judge # 1 -- A little too heavy on the tomato. Amusing kick.
Judge # 2 -- Nice, smooth tomato flavor. Very mild.
Judge # 3 (Frank) -- Holy crap, what the hell is this stuff? You could remove dried paint from your driveway. Took me two beers to put the flames out. I hope that's the worst one. These Texans are crazy!
CHILI # 2 - AUSTIN 'S AFTERBURNER CHILI
Judge # 1 -- Smoky, with a hint of pork. Slight jalapeno tang.
Judge # 2 -- Exciting BBQ flavor, needs more peppers to be taken seriously.
Judge # 3 -- Keep this out of the reach of children. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to taste besides pain. I had to wave off two people who wanted to give me the Heimlich maneuver. They had to rush in more beer when they saw the look on my face.
CHILI # 3 - FRED'S FAMOUS BURN DOWN THE BARN CHILI
Judge # 1 -- Excellent firehouse chili. Great kick.
Judge # 2 -- A bit salty, good use of peppers.
Judge # 3 -- Call the EPA. I've located a uranium spill. My nose feels like I have been snorting Drano. Everyone knows the routine by now. Get me more beer before I ignite. Barmaid pounded me on the back, now my backbone is in the front part of my chest. I'm getting plastered from all of the beer.
CHILI # 4 - BUBBA'S BLACK MAGIC
Judge # 1 -- Black bean chili with almost no spice. Disappointing.
Judge # 2 -- Hint of lime in the black beans. Good side dish for fish or other mild foods, not much of a chili.
Judge # 3 -- I felt something scraping across my tongue, but was unable to taste it. Is it possible to burn out taste buds? Sally, the beer maid, was standing behind me with fresh refills. This 300 lb woman is starting to look HOT... just like this nuclear waste I'm eating! Is chili an aphrodisiac?
CHILI # 5 - LISA'S LEGAL LIP REMOVER
DeleteJudge # 1 -- Meaty, strong chili. Cayenne peppers freshly ground, adding considerable kick. Very impressive.
Judge # 2 -- Chili using shredded beef, could use more tomato. Must admit the
cayenne peppers make a strong statement.
Judge # 3 -- My ears are ringing, sweat is pouring off my forehead and I can no longer focus my eyes. I farted, and four people behind me needed paramedics. The contestant seemed offended when I told her that her chili had given me brain damage. Sally saved my tongue from bleeding by pouring beer directly on it from the pitcher. I wonder if I'm burning my lips off. It really ticks me off that the other judges asked me to stop screaming. Screw them.
CHILI # 6 - VERA'S VERY VEGETARIAN VARIETY
Judge # 1 -- Thin yet bold vegetarian variety chili. Good balance of spices and peppers.
Judge # 2 -- The best yet. Aggressive use of peppers, onions, garlic. Superb.
Judge # 3 -- My intestines are now a straight pipe filled with gaseous, sulfuric flames. I crapped on myself when I farted, and I'm worried it will eat through the chair. No one seems inclined to stand behind me except that Sally. Can't feel my lips anymore. I need to wipe my butt with a snow cone.
CHILI # 7 - SUSAN'S SCREAMING SENSATION CHILI
Judge # 1 -- A mediocre chili with too much reliance on canned peppers.
Judge # 2 -- Ho hum, tastes as if the chef literally threw in a can of chili peppers at the last moment. I should take note that I am worried about Judge 3. He appears to be in a bit of distress as he is cursing uncontrollably.
Judge # 3 -- You could put a grenade in my mouth, pull the pin, and I wouldn't feel a thing. I've lost sight in one eye, and the world sounds like it is made of rushing water. My shirt is covered with chili, which slid unnoticed out of my mouth. My pants are full of lava to match my shirt. At least during the autopsy, they'll know what killed me. I've decided to stop breathing; its too painful. Screw it; I'm not getting any oxygen anyway. If I need air, I'll just suck it in through the 4-inch hole in my stomach.
CHILI # 8 - BIG TOM'S TOENAIL CURLING CHILI
Judge # 1 -- The perfect ending, this is a nice blend chili. Not too bold but spicy enough to declare its existence.
Judge # 2 -- This final entry is a good, balanced chili. Neither mild nor hot. Sorry to see that most of it was lost when Judge #3 farted, passed out, fell over and pulled the chili pot down on top of himself. Not sure if he's going to make it. Poor feller, wonder how he'd have reacted to really hot chili?
Judge # 3 - No Report.

Well I really don't know what to write about. Well the soccer team is having a good year we are 12-10 right now with 2 or 1 games left. But we have one player that can't play Landon THANKS IBERIA. But well played good in the Stover Classic we have boys stepping up to play and it's good to see.
Well it's officially second quarter. Were a 1/4 of the year done. Which also means it's close to deer season. Student council is putting on a big buck contest as well. For more information contact me or cam. I am really excited for deer season. Soccer season is also almost over as well.

Saturday Jensen, Alan, Rachel, and I went to Sedalia to see "Bridge of Spies" We all met at Circle M at 3:30 and all rode to Sedalia with Jensen in her car. When we got to the theater we all got our popcorn and drinks and right after we sat down the movie began. I think that we all enjoyed the movie at least I did, the only thing was that we all knew what happened because we had learned about it in history class, It was about the U2 spy plane incident and Russian a Soviet spy that was discovered in America. After we watched the movie we went and ate at Dairy Queen then we headed to Jensen's house where we all played Mario Cart until about 11:30 when we left.

My pig finally had her babies early on Saturday morning. My uncle came in my room at around 5 in the morning to tell me she had them, I jumped up so fast. I didn't even put my shoes on and it was crazy cold outside. We have 8 pink pigs, 3 spotted pigs and 2 red spotted. All in all we have 16 pigs now.

You know what people said to Vincent Van Gough? They said "You'll never be a great artist, you only have one ear" and do you know what he said to them? "I can't hear you". http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m5p4gegeU01qjto35o2_500.gif
One of my favorite inspirational posters goes along the lines of "Conformity, it's the one who's different who gets left out in the cold". This teaches that sometimes it's okay to just pretend to agree with someone until they have nothing to offer anymore.

Recently, we drained our pool about halfway to get ready to put the tarp on it for winter. On Saturday, we hadn't put the tarp on yet, and that proved to be a problem. When I woke up, Bryce told me that a squirrel had fallen into the pool and couldn't get out. Bryce and my mom rescued it and laid it in the yard, but the water was really cold and it was like 50 degrees outside. So we put some towels around it and Bryce and I found a heat lamp and made it shine on the squirrel. It laid in our yard for about five hours, and I was afraid it was going to die. But then, when my dad was looking at it, it got up and ran over to a tree and climbed it. I was so happy that we saved the squirrel! Right after this fiasco, we decided it was a good idea to put the tarp on the pool to prevent further casualties.

Anyways Emilie, Jeri, Buddy and I are going to see the movie this sunday, and I am super thrilled, I can't wait!

So this weekend was the Stover classic and we lost the very first game that we played which isnt very good at all since we beat cole camp and calvary luthern is basically just like cole camp and we beat cole camp three times so in my opinion we shouldnt have lost the first game at all and should have atleast made it to the semi finals or even the championship.

I am choosing to write about how excited I am about getting all my dual credit out of the way. At first, I was skeptical as to taking four DC classes because they take up a lot of your time as well as challenging you. For example, my english class isn't just writing papers and underlining the verbs. You actually have to write college essays that are grammatically correct. This is quite hard because I don't have a teacher to explain everything to me, but I am getting the hang of it. One class that I really enjoy is my sociology class. I never knew how much I was going to love it, until I began doing the assignments and reading the book. I always thought I wanted to be something in the medical field but sociology really interests me, so I am going to look into jobs majoring in that. In the end, dual credit will definitely pay off and I will be happy I took them. Even though it makes my life that much more hectic, I am happy about taking them and I cannot wait to see what my future brings.

I'm really excited for the dance that we are putting on next week. It's on Friday, October 30 and it's from 7:00pm to 10pm. The dance is Halloween-themed and we are going to give prizes to the best dressed. As well as the costume contest, there will also be booths. I'm going to do Fortune Telling, Hunter McCullough is going to have his House of Horrors, and Dylan Calton and Remington Verts are going to do drink mixing. Admission is $3 per person and those who pay in advance will receive prizes. All in all, I hoped you enjoyed my shameless self-promotion and will come to our dance. :)

We were talking about this at lunch, and Mr. Dicus was telling us about how he doesn't think that soccer is a contact sport. We (we being our first hour chemistry class) argued with him about it and probably didn't teach him anything more than he knew already. Do you agree with us hat its a contact sport?
R.A.M.B.O.U.N.S. TERMINATED
ReplyDeleteThe National Security Agency (NSA) is sadly confirming the termination of the classified project known as R.A.M.B.O.U.N.S. NSA goes to great lengths to ensure compliance with the Constitution, laws and rambouns. As conveyed in the released remrams, an array of technical and Rambouns-based checks attempt to identify and rambouns errors, some amount of which occur naturally in any large, complex rambouns. Nevertheless, as the DAK Rambouns make clear, NSA takes even unintentional remrams seriously and institutes corrective action, typically involving at a minimum a combination of ram and bouns measures designed to prevent remrams. Rambouns incorrectly acquired is almost always remrammed, referred to as the “shape-shifting” process. This concludes the NSA's report until further rambouns can be executed upon these shape-shifting remrams. #DoritosAreKing #YOLOSWAG

This years volleyball season is almost over and that makes me sad. I really missed playing volleyball season this year. I already can't wait till next year. It can't come fast enough. I'm excited to see how our team will be next year. I think we'll shock people. Since volleyball season is almost over, that means that basketball is right around the corner. I'm not going to be able to actually play or practice for a while though. It's going to be very different from last year. We're going to use our speed more and change up our defense. Since I'm not able to actually practice, I'm going to find some ball handling drills that I can do. I really want to work on my ball handling skills because I'm like a back up point guard and I don't handle the ball very well. I'm excited to be able to play and actually be able to do something.

Districts are tonight and I'm so nervous so it's hard to concentrate at all today. I know we can win districts and go to sectionals. Once volleyball is over I don't know what I'm going to do with the extra time but I don't want to think about that yet. I'm not ready for it to be over yet since it is my last high school sport ever!

So I did not do my free write when it was assigned so I'm now doing it a week before october. I'm looking forward to next week. I know i,ve already wrote about thanksgiving a little bit but i never fully talked about it. One of my favorite parts of thanksgiving is that it falls during deer season and we host thanksgiving. This means that every year it's a competition between me and my 2 brothers for who can bring back the biggest deer on thanksgiving day. The year before last i was the only one to even bring home a deer so i obviously won. last year my oldest brother brought a buck home and was the winner. This year it's going to be me again. I've already seen a big buck by where i hunt and i'm bringing it home for the whole family to see on thanksgiving.
